Join Luis Mojica (somatic therapist) & Evan Glenn Adams (somatic sound healer) as they weave their medicines together in this special event that helps your body access unexplored places within it through community, somatic practices, and sound.

Community Holding: Exploring the Somatics of Being Misunderstood

Community Holding: Exploring the Somatics of Being Misunderstood

This four-hour session is designed to explore and untangle the embodied experience of being misunderstood—a common and deeply human response to trauma. Together, we’ll gently challenge the belief that being misunderstood means we are defective, broken, or inadequate in any way. Instead, by spending time in community we learn: we all have trauma and the only "problem" is having to carry it alone. We’ll uncover how this experience lives in our bodies and how we can move toward connection and clarity.

In this session, we will focus on the somatic impact of miscommunication, misattunement, and the emotional residue of feeling unseen or unheard. Often, our bodies respond to these moments with contraction, confusion, or self-doubt, rooted in survival patterns that aim to protect us from further harm. By tuning into the body’s signals, we’ll identify where these patterns reside, how they shape our interactions, and how we can begin to nurture a sense of self that feels steady, confident, and whole—even in the face of misunderstanding.

Through the magic of co-regulation, our bodies become mycelial roots that stretch across the space we're in. Together we increase our capacity for emotions & sensations that would be too much alone. I will open the space with a somatic practice, invite some weaving of intentions, teach you about co-regulation and lead an exercise in it, and then we will all take turns experiencing what it's like to be held by 50 hands on a table.

To be loved back to life and release the stored pain we hold through connection and celebration, instead of isolation and shame. We will end with bringing the comfort and safety that we created together back into our own homes with our own bodies.

Community Holding: Transforming Trauma Together w/ Luis Mojica 11-19-24

SOLD OUT- Message me to be added to the waitlist.

This four hour session is intended to begin teasing out from our bodies the notion that trauma makes us defective, broken, or inadequate in any way. By spending time in community we learn: we all have trauma and the only "problem" is having to carry it alone.

In this session, we will explore boundaries, people pleasing, and the fawn response through a somatic lens. Often, our bodies have learned to prioritize the comfort of others at the expense of our own needs, a response deeply rooted in survival. When we fawn, we bend and blur our boundaries in an effort to avoid conflict, rejection, or abandonment. By tuning into the body's wisdom, we can begin to recognize where these patterns live within us and practice establishing boundaries that feel safe and supportive. Together, we will unravel these habitual responses and create space for a more authentic expression of self, allowing our bodies to reclaim a sense of agency and balance within relationships.

Chant Circle & Heart Sharing w/ Radharani

With Radharani on voice and guitar, Rasanidhi on cello, and David Budd on percussion.

Lay down for a guided sound journey of angelic tones and lullabies followed by a circle of kirtan and sacred chants.

Take a journey with Radharani and her band, which includes you! This sonically luscious evening of song and chant will be woven with heart-sharing exercises to warm our circle as we open our voices and find our way into blissful presence.

Radharani’s voice has been described as "angelic," "hypnotic,” and “haunting.” Her original sound is a blend of ancient mantras, heart-opening ballads, and contemporary sonic scapes. With meditative presence and soulful yearning, she brings the listener into a state of peace and presence. Her live events invite participation through chant and spontaneous harmony, inviting everyone to connect with their intention and voice through participation in the collective sound.

"If you're a fan of the sweet sounds of Snatam Kaur, you'll fall in love with Radharani." - Yoga Journal, Australia

About Our Facilitator

Radharani spent a decade on pilgrimage in India, Nepal, and Tibet where she studied the intersection of mysticism, sacred sound, and consciousness. These years of pilgrimage were an initiation into seeing life as a perpetual unfolding of sacred synchronicity, and a dance of intimacy with the divine. Returning home, Radharani has witnessed the deep need for a sense of meaning in the Western world, and her mission has been to bring her deeply rooted connection to the divine through her music, writing, and group facilitation.

Radharani has offered her music at consciousness festivals and yoga studios around the country. Her music has reached hundreds of thousands around the world, and her second album topped New Age Billboard charts. For seven years, she was a musical and spiritual leader for a transformative, earth-based, feminist Jewish community, bridging Eastern and Western mystical teachings. Based in the Hudson Valley of New York, she brings people together to share the powerful practice of group singing with her original songs and soulful interpretations of popular music. A natural facilitator of gentle, inclusive spaces, her musical circles invite everyone to be a part of the band.

If your financial means would not allow you to come to this gathering, please message me directly and we will talk about dipping into the Sliding Scale Pool.

Bringing Heaven to Earth, A Crystalline Sound Bath & Cacao Ceremony w/ Lea Garnier & Shri Alchemy

The evening begins with a ceremonial embrace of cacao, inviting each participant to unlock their hearts, share inspiration, and coalesce in the creation of a mandala of sensory and embodied connection.

Following this opening ritual, we immerse ourselves in the ethereal sounds of Crystal Singing Bowls and Pyramids. With each resonant tone, imbued with healing intention and offered in sacred reverence, these instruments evoke a serene tranquility capable of quieting the mind and dissolving the stresses held within our bodies. Crystalline in structure, they serve as potent conduits for amplifying, storing, and transmitting intentions of healing, love, and well-being. As our bodies and DNA echo the crystalline nature of these instruments, we embark on a journey to restore balance and synchronize our mind-heart cosmic connection.

Join us as we delve into the depths of harmonic resonance, allowing the frequencies of quartz crystal to penetrate our beings and realign us with the cosmic symphony of existence. Through this transformative journey, we awaken to the innate harmony that resides within and around us, embracing a state of profound peace, healing, and cosmic alignment.

About Our Facilitators

Lea Garnier is an Integrative Sound Practitioner, Craniosacral Therapist, Yoga Teacher and Educator who has worked in the healing arts for over 30 years and is an established practitioner in the field. She began her journey as a painter. Her healing art has been displayed and sold in Europe and the US. Lea found Craniosacral Therapy in NYC after suffering neck and back injuries sustained in an auto accident, which led her to train as an Upledger Craniosacral Therapist, practicing now since 1990. In 2007 she became a certified yoga instructor trained in the Desikachar lineage. In 2008 she co-founded, Sage Academy of Sound in Woodstock, NY, a school dedicated to teaching the therapeutics of Sound Healing as a healing modality, and is currently the Director.

Lea is a student of the shamanic arts which inspired her ongoing interest in therapeutic sound for healing, which led to the organization in 2010 of the first annual comprehensive Sound Healing retreat in the Northeast, The Sound Healing Retreat Intensive. This is an ongoing platform created specifically for the pioneers of Sound Healing to come together and share their knowledge and wisdom, often resulting in deeply transformational experiences for participants. Due to its massive appeal, and to meet the demands of this emerging healing modality, Sage created The Sound Healing Certification Program in 2013. The program focuses on the fundamental areas of Sound Healing and caters to an international audience of practitioners working in the healing arts.

Embodied Connection: Exploring Authentic Relating through Touch

Embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and connection at "Embodied Connection: Exploring Authentic Relating through Touch." Join us for a 2.5-hour somatically attuned evening filled with an understanding of boundaries touch.

During this immersive experience, you'll have the opportunity to listen deeply to your body, discern the nuances of a true "yes," and honor even the subtlest twinge of a "no." We'll explore what it means to connect with our senses without any agenda beyond the present moment, diving into the depths of discomfort and joy alongside others.

"Embodied Connection" invites you to engage with your inner desires and boundaries, practicing deep listening and navigating the delicate art of rejection and acceptance. What arises within you when faced with the prospect of rejection? Do you shy away from reaching out for fear of hearing "no"? Do you freeze instead of saying “no”?

Through interactive exercises, we'll delve into authentic somatic communication, cultivating self-awareness, empathy, and emotional intelligence. Discover the profound joy of being truly seen and understood by yourself and others as we foster meaningful connections through the practice of Authentic Relating.

These exercises simplify the connection process with structured, guided experiences that will lead you on a journey of inquiry and body awareness unlike any other form of group connecting I’ve experienced. Join us for an evening of exploration, vulnerability, and authentic connection.

Intuitive Hand-Poke Ritual Tattoo in March w/ Eva Miskiewicz

Intuitive Hand-Poke Ritual Tattoo in March w/ Eva Miskiewicz

The technique of hand-poked tattoo goes back more than 5500 years, before the electric machine was created, and it is done by carrying a small amount of ink under the skin with a hand-held tattoo needle. This art form was often used as a religious practice, or to affirm tribal affiliation or rite of passage.
Modern tattooing is often stripped of its spiritual and cultural qualities, leaving only the art upon the skin.
I feel deeply inspired by this ancient craft and although my practice lives in modern times, my relationship to tattoo is intimately rooted in reverence to its origins and spirit.
My work is intuitive, all designs are original creations, guided by your intention. This is a collaboration where you bring forward your story, and I translate that into a visual emblem, marking of time, an expression of personal journey. If this work resonates with you, please get in touch.

How To: Message me to schedule your free consultation call
This is where you connect with Eva, share your intention, discuss your design, ask questions, and pay $100 for the design process. There will be an opportunity for you to view and modify the design in the time leading up to your session.

About the Artist
Eva Miskiewicz is a multidisciplinary artist, currently based in the Hudson Valley. She has always followed her natural rhythm of self-expression, which led her to explore various creative mediums, such as mosaic art, painting, drawing, fiber art, music, and most recently hand-poked tattoo art.
Eva approaches arts as a healing modality, tools for self-discovery, opportunity to cultivate connection to the natural world around us, and an important way of keeping culture alive. She holds a bachelor degree in Art Therapy and her passion has always been to integrate all that she’s learnt, her creative gifts and ancient wisdom into humble offerings that uplift, inspire, honor the past and promote wellbeing.

We will end with some delicious snacks around a fire and bring the comfort and safety that we created together back into our own homes with our own bodies.

About Our Facilitator
Luis Mojica (pronounced Lew-Eace {rhymes with peace} Mo-hee-ka). Teaches people how to release stress and trauma through listening to their bodies.
He's not here to change you or judge you. His work is all about teaching. He gives you the language, the practices, and the space to learn how to communicate with your own body & mind.
He comes to this work from a deeply personal experience with suffering and healing that suffering. He didn’t read it in a book - He lived it. He knows suffering well and he knows bliss well. He will teach you as best as He can to find your bliss and transform out of suffering.

Being with: A Practice of Somatic & Whole Person Presence in Relational Connection w/ Cameron Grayson

Being with: A Practice of Somatic & Whole Person Presence in Relational Connection w/ Cameron Grayson

Together we will settle into a space of regulation, connection, and inclusion, deepening into presence with ourselves and others.

In this practice of being with we will take a whole person and relational approach to presence. We will explore practices that have an emphasis on calling back aspects of ourselves that may have been ostracized or isolated from connection. We will welcome these aspects back into our bodies and have space to explore resistance or anything that comes up in connection to these parts. These practices create space for present authenticity in the relational experience. This space offers us a deeper relationship that we could be having but often miss out on in our day to day interactions with self and other.

This practice will be lead by Cameron Grayson. In this workshop Cameron will be utilizing her trainings in Authentic Relating, Circling, Internal Family Systems, and Whole Person Coaching. Cameron has a gift and passion for supporting others in discovering their true nature. With curiosity and compassion she supports an exploration of each individuals world creating a container of transformation into an authentically aligned life.  Her extensive ongoing practice of holistic systems has gifted her the tools and experience to connect deeper and hold an immense amount of presence, compassion, and expansive space while providing for others. Some of her own experiences are visually displayed in the artwork she creates depicting some of her deepest transformations through her life journey.

Some of these art pieces will be available for purchase from the Round House walls at The Forest Haven.

Intuitive Hand-Poke Ritual Tattoo in March w/ Eva Miskiewicz

Intuitive Hand-Poke Ritual Tattoo in March w/ Eva Miskiewicz
