The Thread Between: Weaving Rope & Connection

Note: This event is exclusively for participants vetted through the consent workshop at The Forest Haven (TFH). If you have not completed the vetting process and purchase a ticket, the fee will be applied to the next consent workshop. Attendance will not be permitted, and tickets are non-refundable. Please ensure you’ve been vetted before purchasing. Contact us with any questions. TWO EXCEPTIONs: If you attend with another person, you can purchase a couples ticket and choose to partner exclusively with them for the evening. OR if you decide to self tie and stay solo during the workshop. While you're welcome to engage in verbal interaction with others, you’ll remain with your chosen partner or solo for all exercises and activities, without switching to a new partner.

There are several vetted attendees coming solo that will either be self tying or will find a partner at the event. Feel free to come solo and don’t feel any pressure to be partnered. The skills you will learn in this workshop are able to be learned through self tying.

Join us as we explore the experience of intimacy with rope. With intention and care, rope can be an expression of connection, presence, and embodied movement. In this hands-on workshop, we shift from the mechanics of rope bondage into the felt experience of tying, attuning, and deepening intimacy through intentional touch, tension, and movement.

Whether you're seeking to cultivate trust, build a scene with emotional depth, or explore the interplay of power and surrender, this workshop offers tools to enhance both your technical skill and your ability to create meaningful, connected experiences in rope.

Through guided exercises and partnered exploration, you will learn how to:

- Move Beyond Mechanics: Shift from technical tying into an intuitive, responsive rope practice that centers connection.

- Co-Regulate with Rope: Attune to your partner’s body language, breath, and micro-reactions to create a shared energetic flow.

- Weave Intention into Ties: Explore how pacing, tension, and movement can evoke different emotional and sensory responses.

- Create a Scene Rooted in Presence: Blend elements of tension, contrast, and intentional movement to build immersive, connected experiences.

- Develop Your Own Style: Experiment, play, and explore what feels uniquely expressive to you.

This workshop is designed for those with a basic understanding of rope bondage (including foundational ties and safety principles) who want to deepen their connection and creative expression through rope. Whether you tie for intimacy, play, or artistry, this class will support you in moving beyond technique into a more embodied, intentional practice.

What to Bring:

Comfortable clothing for movement.

2-4 hanks of rope (some will be available to borrow).

An openness to explore, attune, and connect.

We never pair participants up, but if you're open to tying with others, you are welcome to negotiate with fellow attendees who share mutual interest.

Join us for an evening of deep listening, embodied play, witnessing, and exploration as we discover the artistry, connection, and sensation that rope can bring.

There are no credits or refunds for events at the forest haven.
