Know Your Kneads: A Massage Gathering
Prerequisite Required: Participants must be vetted through TFH’s consent workshop. If you haven't completed this and purchase a ticket, your fee will be applied to a future consent workshop. No entry or refunds will be granted. Please be sure that you are vetted before purchasing. Contact us with any questions.
How do you want to be massaged? More importantly—how can you clearly express exactly what you want?
In this gathering, we will explore the Wheel of Consent framework through both giving and receiving massage. This is an opportunity to nourish your body’s needs while deepening your understanding of consent dynamics—serving, accepting, taking, and allowing. Our goal is to bring choice and boundary awareness into the embodied experience of massage. As Betty Martin, author of The Wheel of Consent, reminds us:
“In our mind, we may know we have a choice. We must know that in our body. Can you have a choice and exercise that choice?”
What to Expect:
Through guided discussions and hands-on exercises, we will explore how to listen to and advocate for our own needs while attuning to the needs of others. The evening will include opportunities for partnered and group massage, with a strong emphasis on clear communication, safety, and mutual respect.
In this 3-hour workshop, you will practice:
Identifying Boundaries & Desires – Clarify your personal wants, limits, and motivations for interaction. Learn how to express a clear "no," a curious "maybe," or an alternative request with confidence.
Attunement & Presence in Touch – Develop awareness through listening and physical connection, cultivating sensitivity to both giving and receiving.
Asking the Right Questions – Learn how to initiate and maintain meaningful communication around boundaries, desires, aftercare, and relationships beyond the moment.
Building a Culture of Consent in Community – Foster an environment of care, curiosity, and conscious exploration of touch and connection.
What Makes This Workshop Unique?
Guided interactive demos, exercises, and open dialogue
An inclusive, judgment-free space for both newcomers and experienced practitioners
A focus on self-awareness, agency, and mutual respect
Whether you're experienced in group massage or new to this form of conscious connection, Know Your Kneads offers a space to expand your capacity for consent, communication, and embodied awareness.
Join us for an evening of intentional touch, deep listening, and mindful connection.
